Thank you for stopping by. I’m glad you’re here, and I’d love for you to know a little about the person behind the books.
For sixteen years I taught high school English. I loved the classroom and those moments when the light bulb went off for students. I still think like a teacher, and I suspect that’s why I ended up writing for kids.
I’ve served as a pastor in the Church of the Nazarene since 2015, and as pastor of Alexandria Church of the Nazarene in Alexandria, Indiana, since January 2020. I love the local church, where I have experienced the best memories of my life. Along the way I’ve also had the joy of preaching revivals in local churches and speaking at conferences, both as a teacher and as a pastor.
Restored Earth Adventures grew out of all of that. I write for the same reason I preach: the biblical story is true, and it’s better than we imagine. I also have a couple of books for grown-up readers in the works, one on why the biblical story can be trusted and another on holiness and the return of Christ.
Regan and I have two grown sons, Ethan and Seth. Regan serves behind the scenes in nearly everything our church does: children’s ministry, decorating, cooking for a crowd, hosting, and organizing the events that make a congregation feel like family. When I’m not preaching or writing, you’ll probably find me reading or taking walks with Regan and our Golden Retriever, Rosie.
